Why don't people listen to the warnings?

The big question being ask around here alot during the past month is: Why don't people listen to officials when they are warning about hurricanes? Here is a good article about this subject...

I think alot of people are just stupid. Why else would they stay? I am kidding, sort of.

A lot of people have the false sense of security. Maybe they think it won't be that bad. I don't know people think that nothing can or will happen to them. I can guarante that any time a storm comes this way, we are out of here. I believe that it's better to be safe than dead. Speaking of dead, there are still over 200 people missing from the hurricane. I guess they thought it might not be that bad.
