Update

I can't keep up with my blog while I am having such a wonderful relaxing vacation with MSH. So I will try to compose a long rambling post about all the events of the last few weeks. Which by the way have been amazing. I will start with the present and work my way backwards or maybe not. Maybe I will just ramble and post as the thoughts come to my head!

Today we spent the day with my parents. It was fun and we had our world famous BBQ Shrimp. We have been having this meal for as long as I can remember and it is wonderful each time. My Mom and I also got in a little shopping time and some beading done. I just love my crafts! It's a good thing that I only have two of them.

We had a blast at our New Year's Eve party last night. It was fun and I learned how to play Texas Holdem. We were almost going to babysit the sweetest granddaughter in the world and that did not work out. Which is for the best because we would never had been able to have so much fun if we had been watching her. It would have been fun in a different way...which would have been at home playing with her. God works in mysterious ways and this time it worked out perfectly for us! Thank goodness we did not have to stay at home with nothing to do or no one to hang out with!

The gambling last night was so much fun. I can't imagine myself playing very much because there are tons of things I would rather be doing. I can see how every once in a while it would be fun to get a group of friends together and play, so I am glad I learned.

I am so glad I have gotten to spend the last two weeks hanging out with MSH. It has been wonderful. We have spent every single minute together and I can not say it enough...it was been perfect.

I have recovered from my surgery so fast. It hardly seems like I had surgery at all. I am so thankful that everything went so well.

I have ordered my last order of clothes from my favorite retailer for at least four months. That was the deal I made with MSH. I know it sounds silly, buy I felt like I needed to make some kind of promise to him, since he was letting me order so many things from the big sale they are having right now. As usual, he is so sweet to me!

We loved going to Austin last weekend and helping CDM1 out. I thought it would be nice to make some food for him and also MSH helped him out with a few home repairs.

We have made a few New Year's promises to ourselves. One is that we are going to read from the Bible every night between 8:30pm and 9:00pm. No matter what our schedules are we are going to do this each night. MSH bought a new Bible with one of his gift cards that he got for Christmas. We are also making the commitment to each other to have a better prayer life together. I have so much to learn from MSH and he is such a great example to me.

Well it's that time of the year again for the Houston Boat Show. I am working the next two weekends. I keep reminding myself that I hopefully only have three more Boat Shows to work.

It's nice to have CDM2 home from her trip.

Tomorrow we are going to finally take down our Christmas decorations.

Life is too sweet!

Please say a special prayer for my former sister in law, she has cancer and will soon go home and have Hospice care there. She is my age and a very loved member of her family. (I think she was always the favorite Aunt among all the kids!!) This is a sad time for her family. Please pray for her comfort and to be pain free. Also pray for her husband and kids.
